"I recently moved across the country and purchased a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport AWD Turbo with both the premium and tech package upgrades and I LOVE my car. I knew I wanted AWD and the premium package, but I wasn't sure about the Turbo or the tech package until I got behind the wheel of one fully equipped with the goods. The power of the turbo is a joy to experience and those frosty winter mornings are not bad with heated side view mirrors, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel. My 18mo old daughter and 4yr old sun are mesmerized by the panoramic moonroof and have yet to complain about any length of road trip. The touch screen navigation is packed with features and has saved me so much headache in a new city. I can go anywhere, find anything, and I no longer worry about getting lost. Another feature I adore is the keyless entry and push button start because it saves me so much time getting in and starting my car. Finally, the styling of this car is superb. I love the angles and the curves and the overall look. Not all is perfect though, when I first put the car in gear, it does take a second or two to engage which is odd. Plus the rear vents only seem to blow cold air even when the heat is turned up high. Overall, I'm still extremely satisfied and happy with my new Santa Fe Sport."

"Honestly could not tell the difference between the 2.4 and the turbo. Great ride qulity. Nimble stearing. The technology package is top of the line. The best bang for your buck all around. Can't really tell what the reliability will be yet."

"5 months/3k miles. I was looking for an SUV to replace my BMW 325i. This was the last model in Hyundai's fleet that needed a major upgrade in design and boy did they deliver with the 2013 model! I purchased the 2013 Turbo fully loaded. It's a great car and a good deal comparing the features and price to other similiar SUVs. My complaints mimic what others have said about the gas tank. I thought I had a lemon or they put on the wrong size tank since even though my tank says it's empty...I can only fill up a max of around 13-13.5 gallons. When you leave the gas station the gauge does go down immediately and I feel like my gas is gone a lot quicker. I am averaging about 17/18 with mostly street driving and that is WITH my ECO boost button on! So it's not great, BUT sure beats needing to use premium gas! Other complaints I have...are that it does not have rain sensing wiperblades (ie. have to manually adjust depending on the rain), does not have automatic rear liftgate, doesn't have auto window up/down on both front windows (only driver), doesn't have cooled seats, only heated (wish was feature since I live in Southern CA!), doesn't have park assist or blindspot monitoring for side mirrors. Those features would be nice to have and FORD models have these optional features. Also to be super picky I don't like that the outlets for USB, charger, AUX are all outside in the center console and not in the center console/arm rest hidden away from view. Not sure the thinking behind that, but they are far to reach while driving and visible when parked (I'd much rather have them hidden away in the armrest). What I do LOVE about the car is...heating steering wheel, power seats, heated front seats with 3 levels, nice full leather seats (still smells new!), large nav screen, back up camera, panoramic sun/moon roof, 3 steering adjustable settings, bluetooth, a TON of voice commands, option for bluelink (cool features, but not worth it for me), easy to fold rear seats from trunk, reclining back seats & heated, definitely has nice power for a 4cylinder SUV (helps with the turbo of course!) and everyone loves the style! Plus I love the Marlin Blue color which is a nice change from the boring black, white and silver cars! Hyundai is really making a name for themselves in the marketplace and building very nice reliable cars at great prices compared to other brands. They are really able to compete with the luxury brands....hey I was a two time BMW owner and a previous Audi owner that had enough of the super expensive car repairs and switched! No regrets!"

"I did a lot of research on crossover vehicles. I had a lemon 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan that was replaced by Dodge with a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan piece of junk! I was a bit apprehensive about giving up the van and going to a crossover but it was time! I decided to take the 2013 Santa Fe Sport Turbo for a test drive... First complaint was the steering seemed loose until I found the 3 option steering mode and switched it to sport mode. The next complaint was that the steering wheel wasn't leather wrapped until I accidentally found the heated steering wheel button... I LOVE this vehicle! Even my 8 year old who is out of a booster seat now gets heated seats in the back! Hyundai even established reimbursement for EPA MPG ratings that weren't as described... I already got nearly $50 for less than 3 months of driving! Luxury vehicle without the luxury price tag!"

"My choice is a Hyundai, Santa Fe Sport. It is a great ride. My being this pleased this soon after purchasing a vehicle is very unusual. My major problem is gas mileage. I have tried every way of driving that I know and can't get good mileage. Thanx for asking. ED"

"Searched high and low for this car after Super Storm Sandy. It looks great, drives fantastic, and the turbo really gives four cylinder engine some pep. Over all extremly happy so far with purchase. The tech package really adds some nice features too, but a little pricey."

"2013 Santa Fe for 2 months old / 3k miles. The Bad: The fuel gauge in my Santa Fe does not function properly. After fill up, within 6 miles of the gas station I am already down a fuel bar on the gauge. Similarly, when my gauge reads half and I go to fill it up it only takes 6 gallons on a 17.6 gal tank. The actual gas mileage, both read off the trip computer and calculated, is accurate and much better than the fuel gauge would indicate. This is an all the time every time issue. The Good: 1. If you want all the options, the fully loaded price is a good value compared to other SUVs I considered. 2. Steering setting adjustment really does help make it easier to drive. I had a 2009 Sonata and the steering was so light it was difficult to feel comfortable driving one handed. The Santa Fe is much better in that regard. 3. It handles well for what it is. I traded in my GTI for the Santa Fe so I know what a decent handling car can be like to drive. The Santa Fe is no GTI but in the realm of reasonable expectation I am not in any way disappointed with the handling or ride. 4. The heated steering wheel is simply the best. I never had it before and I never want to be without it again. 5. Under floor storage in the back is great for keeping the SUV uncluttered yet still carry the everyday stuff you don?t always need but don?t want to be without. 6. Heated seats are 3 level and heat up quickly. My 2009 Sonata seats did not heat up as fast or get as warm. 7. To me, the interior is interesting and modern to look at. The displays and gauges are sharp and clear, even something as mundane as the switches for the windows are well done. The center console is large enough for me to store my tablet. 8. GAS MILEAGE is what I would expect to get for how I drive: All City, lots of stop and go AVG 16.5-17 mpg. All Highway 70-75MPH 26-27 mpg. Mixed driving 21-23 mpg. There is an econ button to save more gas but I can?t stand the way the SUV drives when it is engaged so I do not use it. Below are things that you don?t learn until you own the Santa Fe and use it for while. Overall I am very pleased with the SUV and look forward to driving it every day. While I think the items below are areas of opportunity they are nothing I consider a deal breaker but thought you should be aware of. 1. ENGINE: The 2.0 Turbo has plenty of pep but requires maintenance more often than the non turbo engine. i.e. more frequent oil changes. 2. WINDOW SWITCHES: Only the Driver door has auto up/down. For $34K MSRP. IMO at this price they should all be auto up/down. 3. CLOCK LOCATION: The clock is on the 8? display. Depending on what I am using the display for the clock moves to different locations or disappears altogether. In NAV mode the clock is in the upper left corner, in XM it moves to the lower left corner. Make any adjustments to the volume and the clock disappears to make room for the volume bar. When in reverse the camera fills up the whole screen so no clock is displayed. Ironically, there is a big Clock button that you can push to make the clock temporarily fill the entire 8? screen. 4. IPOD: If you have a lot of music on your iPod there is no practical way to quickly and safely perform a search. 5. IPOD: When listening to a playlist, pressing the list button on the touch screen will bring up the songs in that playlist. When you stop and restart the SUV, the playlist data is lost. So you have to start from the beginning to get back to the playlist. 6. CENTER DISPLAY between gauges: you can toggle through Trip computer, audio, compass, and settings. The audio display doesn?t show anything other than the source and channel. However, the screen is big enough to display artist and song info as well. Since the radio is not displayed when you are in NAV mode on the 8? touch screen this would be very useful and simple to do. 7. KEYLESS locks: You can?t lock your car from outside it with the engine running. This week it is in the single digits outside my house. I have no garage. I want to start my car and warm it up before I get in but cannot lock the doors while I am away from the vehicle with it running. 8. HYUNDAI?S SOLUTION to #7 is their BlueLink. For $179/ year you get remote start and 19 other features I?ll never use with no Ala Carte Option. I am in the free trial period now. Also, when you use remote start, your lights flash until you get in. I go to work at 5:30AM I don?t think my neighbors would appreciate a 10 minute light show."

"I had previously owned a Nissan Murano and was very pleased with it. After 115,000 miles it was time to purchase a new vehicle. I wanted to downsize to a 4 cylinder yet not give up the size, power and comfort of the Murano. After driving several other vehicles, I came upon the newly styled Santa Fe Sport. My husband and I feel it measures up very well and even though we've only had it for 3 weeks, we are very pleased with the performance of the Santa Fe Sport."

"After test driving many vehicles over the past several weeks I have to say the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sports model 2.0T was the best overall winner. Smooth riding, equip with many options and features not found in other vehicles that were test driven. Several options that impressed me was the fact it has three different steering modes, comfortable reclining seats and is a major fuel saver. I can definitely give this vehicle a 5 Stars rating."
